  • Spend the entire day enjoying the spectacular scenery of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The railway from Golmud to Lhasa stretches 1,142 km, crossing the Kunlun Mountains and Tanggula Mountains. A total of 960 km runs at altitudes above 4,000 meters, with the highest point reaching 5,072 meters. It traverses wetlands, permafrost regions, and high-altitude glaciers—some of the harshest terrains in the world. Recognized as one of China’s most remarkable century engineering projects, it has attracted global attention. Passengers can choose between soft sleeper or hard sleeper for convenience and comfort. The train is equipped with oxygen supply, hot water, and other facilities.

    Upon arrival in Lhasa, enjoy lunch, then proceed to the city center before checking in to the hotel for rest.

Includes two high-speed train (second-class) tickets. Qinghai–Tibet Railway soft sleeper tickets, with lower and middle berths, four people per cabin. All berth prices are the same.

Single Supplement: $1,550. The single supplement does not apply to the Qinghai–Tibet Railway.

Price does not include: Airfare, travel and medical insurance, optional programs, visa fees, tips for the tour leader, guides, and driver (USD$250 per person), porter service fees, and other personal expenses.

Reminder: From Qinghai to Tibet, the altitude gradually rises between 3,000 m and 4,500 m over 7 days. Please consult your family doctor to confirm if this trip is suitable for you or if you should bring altitude sickness medication.

Visa: Canadian passport holders require a China tourist visa. Our company provides the Tibet Travel Permit free of charge. Guests with a Hong Kong Home Return Permit do not need a China visa or Tibet Travel Permit. As visa requirements frequently change, please check with the relevant consulate. Our company will not be responsible if entry is denied due to visa or passport issues.

Other Notes: Most hotels do not provide triple rooms. The tour fee already includes a 3% discount from the original price. For credit card payment, please pay the original (non-discounted) price.

Booking Terms: A deposit of $500 per person is required upon registration. The balance must be paid 90 days before departure. If itinerary adjustments occur due to flight schedules, participants may not use this as grounds for objection.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: The company reserves the right to cancel a departure before the trip. In this case, all payments will be fully refunded. The company will not be liable for cancellation or changes in departure dates.

  • Cancellation or changes 61–97 days before departure: $500 per person deducted.
  • Cancellation 31–60 days before departure: 45% of tour fee deducted.
  • Cancellation 8–30 days before departure: 90% of tour fee deducted.
