South America Part I: 3 Countries – Brazil, Argentina, Peru (14-Day Tour)

Assemble at Toronto International Airport and board a luxury flight to São Paulo, Brazil’s largest city, often called the “New York of South America.”

Upon arrival, visit São Paulo’s commercial streets in the financial district, Japan Street, and the Eastern District. Explore the uniquely designed cathedral, followed by the Palace of Peter II, Revolution Monument, and Monument to the Bandeiras.

Dinner will be at a high-end Brazilian barbecue restaurant, where servers bring a variety of beef cuts to your table for you to choose from, accompanied by fresh vegetable salads, promising a truly indulgent dining experience. After breakfast, take a flight to the “Marvelous City” – Rio de Janeiro. Ride a sightseeing vehicle up the mountain to visit Rio’s iconic landmark, the Christ the Redeemer statue, and enjoy a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro Bay. The scenery is stunning, no wonder it was selected as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Next, visit the world-famous Copacabana Beach, stroll along the seafront promenade, and enjoy the gentle sea breeze and palm-lined scenery. Dinner will be served at a renowned local restaurant, featuring Brazil’s national dish, feijoada (black bean stew).

After breakfast, fly to Iguassu Falls. After lunch, visit the falls, one of the three largest waterfalls in the world, comprising 275 individual cascades, a truly spectacular sight.

Enter the Argentine side of the national park, take a small train to the Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat) area, and walk to the viewing platform to witness millions of gallons of water thundering down from countless smaller falls—an absolutely breathtaking experience.

After breakfast, fly to Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, often called the “Paris of South America.” Upon arrival, proceed to lunch, then visit 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest avenue in the world, Teatro Colón, one of the world’s three great opera houses, Independence Monument, Congress Square, Plaza de Mayo, Presidential Palace (Casa Rosada), Cathedral, and Antique Street (San Telmo).

In the evening, guests may opt for a traditional Argentine steak dinner with wine and dessert, accompanied by a spectacular Tango performance. This city is the birthplace of Tango.

After lunch, visit Palermo Forest Park, known as the “Lungs of the City”, which houses the rose gardens of Argentina’s past rose queens, Recoleta aristocratic district, Recoleta Cemetery, the tomb of Eva Perón, metal flower sculptures, and Caminito Street, the birthplace of Tango, experiencing the charm of the “Paris of South America.”

In the evening, fly to Lima, the capital of Peru. Dinner will be served on the flight, and overnight stay is at a luxurious five-star hotel in the city.

After breakfast, take a luxury flight to Cusco, the “Mountain City” (elevation 3,326 m), once the center of the mysterious ancient Inca civilization. Upon arrival, take a private transfer to a special boutique hotel in an Inca town located in the lower-altitude Sacred Valley (elevation 2,700 m, 2-night stay; since the altitude is below 3,000 m, it helps minimize or avoid altitude sickness). Lunch will be at a buffet restaurant at the base of the mountain. After lunch, begin the guided exploration of Machu Picchu. Scientists still do not know how the Incas moved such enormous stones or fitted them together perfectly without any adhesive—even today, not even a blade can fit into the seams.

After breakfast, visit Plaza de Armas, the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, and other architectural masterpieces completed by skilled artisans, showcasing the splendor of the Spanish colonial era. Also visit Plaza San Martín, the commercial pedestrian street, museums, Lima’s seaside attractions, Parque de las Letras (Geoglyph Park), and Parque del Amor (Love Park).
